How do I make a reservation at Hammondell Campsites?
You can reserve your site through our online reservation system or by calling us directly at 863-324-5775.
We recommend booking in advance, especially for winter season stays from November through April — we fill up fast and for good reason.
How much does it cost to stay at Hammondell Campsites?
Rates vary depending on the time of year and length of stay. We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Monthly rates offer the best value for snowbirds and extended winter stays. Visit our Rate Page for More info or contact us
Is Hammondell Campsites an adults-only or 55+ community?
While Hammondell Campsites is primarily a 55+ community, meaning at least one resident or registered guest per site must be 55 or older.
Families and Younger guests, including children, are welcome to visit and stay for up to two weeks at a time. We love when the grandkids come to visit — and with LEGOLAND right here in Winter Haven, they’ll have plenty to keep them busy.
Do you require a deposit to hold a reservation?
Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your reservation. We’ll walk you through the details when you book.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact us directly for our current cancellation policy. We understand that travel plans change and will do our best to work with you.
Do you offer discounts for extended stays or seasonal residents?
Yes. Monthly rates are significantly more economical than nightly or weekly rates. If you’re planning a long winter stay, ask us about our seasonal options when you call.
What hookups are available at Hammondell Campsites?
Our RV sites include full hookups — water, sewer, and electric service. We offer both 30-amp and 50-amp electric connections to accommodate a wide range of RVs.

Where is Hammondell Campsites located?
We’re in Winter Haven, Florida — right in the heart of Polk County, between Tampa and Orlando. Winter Haven sits on the famous Chain of Lakes and is home to LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Peppa Pig Theme Park, Bok Tower Gardens, and dozens of lakes, golf courses, and restaurants. It’s one of Central Florida’s most livable communities and a favorite snowbird destination.

What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 12pm Eastern
Check-out is 11AM. We’ll confirm exact times when you make your reservation.
Are pets allowed at Hammondell Campsites?
We Love Pets! Well-behaved pets are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times when outside your unit, and they may not be left unattended outdoors. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Certain dog breeds may be restricted — please ask when booking.
Is there a pet fee?
Please ask about our current pet policy and any applicable fees when you make your reservation.
Can my grandchildren stay with me for an extended visit?
Absolutely. Children are welcome to stay with you for up to two weeks.
Are guests allowed to visit residents?
Yes. Guests are welcome to visit. All visitors must check in at the office, and we ask that visitor vehicles be off the property during quiet hours.
Do you allow open fires or fire pits?
Open fires are subject to local fire ordinances and park rules. Contact us for the current policy — Florida’s fire conditions change seasonally.
Park Fees
Lot fees as well as cable and propane bills are due on the first of each month. If not paid by the 10th of each month a $50.00 late fee will be added to your bill. Electric is also due on the first of each month and is always a month behind and read on the 15th of every month.

Is Hammondell Campsites a good base for exploring Central Florida?
It’s one of the best. You’re centrally located between Tampa and Orlando, close to the Gulf Coast beaches, and sitting right on the Chain of Lakes. You have easy access to everything without paying big-city prices or dealing with big-city traffic.
What is the weather like in Winter Haven, Florida in the winter?
Winter in Winter Haven is mild and pleasant — daytime highs typically range from the upper 60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit, with cooler nights. It’s one of the main reasons snowbirds from the Midwest and Northeast return year after year. You’ll want a light jacket for evenings, but you’ll leave the heavy coat at home.
How far is Hammondell Campsites from major Florida attractions?
We’re conveniently located near everything Central Florida has to offer. LEGOLAND Florida is just minutes away. Walt Disney World is about 30 miles east. Tampa is roughly an hour to the west. Clearwater and St. Pete Beach are about 80 miles away. Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales is approximately 30 minutes south.

Yes. With full hookups, a welcoming community, and a terrific location in Central Florida, Hammondell is a popular choice for full-timers who want a permanent home base during the winter months or year-round.

Seasonal residents love the combination of affordable, relaxed living and easy access to everything Winter Haven has to offer — the lakes, the restaurants, the local events, and the warm Florida winter. The community is friendly, the pace is unhurried, and you’ll find it very easy to settle in. Many of our seasonal residents have been coming back for years.
Is there a clubhouse or community space?
